Days long past

I don't think I realised how much I like coming home until I couldn't anymore. Home was where everything was. Eg. stacks of colourful pens and highlighters, all my clothes, shoes and bags, random bits and bobs, good food and I knew my way around to everywhere.

Although it wasn't conducive to studying as my uncles place is due to all the pretty distractions, it was still pretty good not taking into account the familiarity. I've never been homesick before now. But maybe it's just cause I'm missing some vital materials for a proper life eg. zomfgshasdfghjkl I don't have my laptop charger TT

Onto other news, I picked up extension 2 english and will now most likely be dropping bio. I would rather completely drop maths but I'm not man enough to defy the expectations of the masses on how be a true asian, despite my name having a masculine noun amongst all the other letters. So then I'd have 12 units and hopefully a free period cause online extension disgusts me. Not the people, just.... other contributing factors.

Imports and Weddings

As much as I perceive that I will be discovered and punished for my cattiness within this post, I must express it, and I will also say I'm a possessive little revenge hungry monster... Hear me roar!

But anyway, so saturday was my aunt's decidedly small and unceremonious wedding. It was nice I suppose, first un-asian wedding I've been to in a church. Being lost and confused throughout the whole ceremony didn't help either and they expected me to take pictures at key moments... I DON'T KNOW THE KEY MOMENTS! WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?! WHY ARE YOU SO CRUEL?!

And the whole time my mum's giving me disapproving glares cause i was unsure of what to do. And then there's  my white uncle's very good friend who is a Hurlstone old boy and his son who followed in his footsteps and my mum is glaring and motioning and her phone is so loud in the silence of the church and I'm thinking my god this is so weird what do i do? And that aforementioned son of friend of uncle is snapping away like some pro photographer and I'm like... DEAR LORD! I KNOW I'M BLASPHEMOUS AND ALL THAT UNDER THE ROOF OF THE CHURCH OF SOME OTHER SUCH BEESWAX BUT SAVE ME! And it was just depressing.
But my awesome cousins made it worthwhile, cause how can you not enjoy it with four cousins all under the age of 10 and a lovely sister in which to gossip and generally be some angsty bitchy teen with?

This was the best photo I could find of all of us, because despite the lovability factor of young children, they can't seem to keep their eyes open and on the camera.

Btw, I'd like to say, my cousins will be more hardcore than all of yours, if you just look at how suave this one is.
Something else interesting was a new arrival, distantly related in some form or another. Hailing from where 90% of the asian population hails from she came to study in this great land of ours. And DAMN SPOILED RICH BLOODY FOBSTER IMPORT!

She comes here and it's all like "Hi! long time no see!" acting like she knows us all and standing on the sidelines bringing the mood down. Asking for everything, giving nothing just eurgh! Just cause you're rich, you're not cool.

I like it as it is, it's the perfect number and perfect order... and then she came along and it's all off. And we now have to drag extra tables and chairs and things at restaurants because we have that one bloody extra girl who insists on storing her bag in the seat next to her and being treated like a queen.

Really, HEAR ME ROAR!

and a fifth of firewhiskey. STAT.

I know I reference the weirdest things, but it's okay. It's from Supernatural, the 'Changing Channels' episode with the parody of Grey's anatomy.

Also because it relates to a certain topic today being: WHOO! I'M ALIVE!
As well as: The EpiClub. How genius is that name? Every time I tell anyone, they give me the strangest disbelieving look before snickers fill the air and they finally collapse in exhausted laughter. The joys of ridiculing everything you come across :)

Onto less morbid topics, being a senior always has it's perks. First the ability to legally cut through the Hall of Honour....ooohhh. It gets boring after a day. What helps is picking on juniors as they cut, but even that loses it's sparkle after the first 3 times.

The cool new thing this term is the ability to fly free at 12PM on a wednesday afternoon cause hey! we don't have sport. I sincerely hope this loses it's novelty at a slower rate.

Anyway, so the new foodie place T101 it is genius. Whoever had the idea to roll up a pizza, base and all is genius. It also lessens the amount of sauce that can be added which accordingly lessens the flavour which makes it almost perfect for someone like me.
The other utterly undeniably cool thing?
Well, with Easyway, you have pearls, soft, sticky, chewy little balls of I'm not sure what, but w/e. With this place you have pearl-like things except that when you bite down on them it goes KABOOM and juice comes out. ZOMFGSH yes?
They're like small pockets of edible bubble wrap *squeal* cause who doesn't like bubble wrap? Best thing since sliced bread.

Yes, I do tend to see my life in lists, plan my life in lists and everything my life in lists. Thus it was only natural that I'd buy the Listography book, no?

And guess who got the biggest but cheapest push toy ever?
I'm not quite sure what exactly to name him/her but they suggested Waffle. Which in turn makes me think Waffle Falafel.
It's kinda sad though cause it's so big and cuddly, not that you can tell in the picture, but it is and it makes me sneeze ><"

We're not in Kansas anymore

And we're really not in Kansas anymore. See the sad pill? that's how I feel. The artwork is courtesy of Danica P. But moving on, first day of school...glorious isn't it, the whether is a bit too bright and warm for my taste. No pathetic fallacy in this heroine's story.I'm quite sure the whether hates me, whenever plans are made for an outing, "The weather forecast said sunshine damnit!" and my friends and I end up huddling, cold and shivering in insufficient shelter by the footpath.

I went to Danica's yesterday with Annie and Anna and omgshasdfghjkl! they decided to watch the ring, and little pathetic, miserable ol' me didn't say anything against it cause I'm the child living in the cupboard under your stairs, thus meek and shy. So we sat there in complete silence only broken by the chewing of pizza and the sounds from the film.

It wasn't the scary type as in scream-your-lungs-out-at-glass-shattering-decibels scary but more of a omgshasdfghjkl-I'm-so-scared-I-have-become-catatonic-and-will-tell-you-when-my-heart-stops-trying-to-commit-self-murder-by-leaping-out-of-my-chest-and-I-can-hear-over-the-rushing-of-blood-within-my-ears scary. I don't know about others but the thing that scares me the most about horror movies is the fact that they stay with me, burned into my eyelids. So I try to close my eyes and sleep and all I can see is the movie.

The scariest thing in my opinion was the chilling innocence of Samara, her voice, her face, her room, her dress and yet the words that are coming out of her mouth are in direct contrast to her naivety.

And I'm scaring myself thinking she'll crawl out of my computer screen, glaring hatefully in her half drowned state. HOLY MOTHER OF MERLIN I'M GOING TO DIE WITH MY FACE TWISTED IN SOME GRUESOME IMAGERY AND THEY'RE GONNA SAY IT'S A HEART ATTACK BUT I WAS ACTUALLY SO SCARED MY HEART STOPPED BEATING.

[Insert picture of the ring in here that I don't want to put in cause I will die if I see any of those images again]

I have a really overactive imagination and sometimes I see things that aren't really there, like I imagine them there cause there really is nothing but I'm so worried that I convince myself I see something. It's terrible. And I'm still terrified of mirrors and water.

But it was okay afterwards cause I had cake. Blackforest cake. Which kinda reminded me of blood cause of the cherries but ignore that. isn't it pretty cake?

So, first day back and all my classes are some variety of, hey HSC course. It's gonna be stressful and half of you are going to be on anti-depressants and the other half on anti-anxiety but it's okay, no need to stress, it won't be that bad.

WHAT WON'T BE THAT BAD?!?!?! IT WON'T BE THAT BAD?! YOU MIGHT HAVE TO BE MEDICATED BUT THAT MAKES IT ALL OKAY?!

It's the apocalypse... I really really like that word. But yeah, it got better, the one ray of sunshine in this sorrowful world was my stationary. COLOURS!!!

And Sproule ruined it with her execution round for not bringing or completing work concerning the Module B: Speeches thing.

I have really nice mangoes and paw paw and home you know? It's genius and I love it.

Coloured Pages and Paperclips

On the upside, today, in preparation for the new course to be embarked upon, I paid a visit to Officeworks, although not perfect, it suffices. Upon visitation, it was to my utter horror that they had no more 120 page Spirax notebooks. By 'no more' I don't simply mean no perfect copies, I mean literally none left on the shelves, it is due to this terrifying discovery that I contacted a number of acquaintances and hopefully friends as I seem to be lacking in a few of those. Then the answer came in the form of Danica who informed me of her plan to buy colourful 5 subject notebooks. The result is beautiful.

Are you jealous? Oh but, of course you are

Preparing for something new is always a thrill. The challenge is to go through with it till the end. Such as when I begin writing a story and the ideas just keep on coming, but then all of a sudden the lake of ideas just dries and becomes a salt bed or something just doesn't quite fit so the excitement dies and with it the drive to continue and complete the work.

The one thing that I do deem perfect in this messy, ugly, unpredictable world though is a Kikki.K store. Let me tell you, they are genius. It's a work of art, purely white, clean, perfectly straight lines and 90 degree angles. Evenly spaced shelves and categorised by both colour and theme. I could spend a day simply sitting in there and never get tired of the perfect clarity and the ambience of the store. What's even better is that it's a stationary store. I've always been one of those people who enjoyed the clean smell of new books and the perfect whiteness of the pages.

What was that?
Why yes, sometimes I do get strange subtle urges for perfection. No, it's not quite that extreme to be called an obsessive compulsive disorder, how rude. To even suggest that I have a mental illness. Didn't your mother teach you manners?

In my most humble opinion we all aught to revert back to Victorian etiquette... their fashion is quite nice as well, excluding the swimwear, those are atrocious, like wearing a massive cloth bag into the water. Seriously, no practicality whatsoever, no wonder so many children died back then.

Le Introduction

Surprisingly enough, this blog actually begins at a significant moment within my young life.

At 16 years of age, soon to be 17 -god, that sounds so old and wrinkly already- Now is the beginning of the end of my life. To clarify, the end of my social life and any enjoyment the other sectors of my life may hold.

Very ominous if i should say so myself.

It is of course, the HSC year. I'm terribly afraid I'll be the first in the grade to over stress and fracture. But it's alright, there are two activities I partake upon and the happenstance of extreme emotion. Art and photography for the positivity in life and whereupon I'm feeling grey, words appear to flow.

But of course, for the aforementioned era to begin, the previous must end. Much like an episode or novel within a series. Think of this post as a prologue of such until October the 10th where the epic and truly uninspiring ramblings of a soon to be 17 year old will officially begin. That day may also be called the first day of school for those unable to take a leap.
