All inane insanities

So it's my sister's birthday but cause we all had school or work on today we celebrated on Sunday in a hectic event filled day. We got up and went to a late CNY lunch which doubled as last lunch with Daddy's Canadian friend. Before we took a picture with their family then bolted down to where my aunt was waiting and she whirled us home to gather swimming materials then to Fairfield leisure centre where to our utmost horror they're playground was broken so we couldn't play and had to swim properly.
And I tried to remember how to do the butterfly but all I managed was a weird flopping action in the water before drowning. And speaking of drowning we saw someone start drowning and he lifeguard full did the safety jump into the pool clothes, trainers and everything. Hardcore stuff. There was also another lifeguard who was a bit weird and creepy, not the one who jumped in of course. Even creepier was this leb guy who kept saying something about fish to my sister and I. And even creepier was and viet guy who had the whole pedo vibe and kept saying things in Vietnamese that we did not understand which made the situation that much more terrifying but yeah.
Then we were dropped off home where we had to wait half an hour for my parents to drop the Canadian people home before coming home and taking us to the city to meet another set of cousins. Cause in the first set, one of them felt unwell and couldn't go :(
But yeah, so we met up with our cousins, watched the parade for a bit before going to Criniti's to have bruschetta, metre long pizza, oysters and mango juice :) They got our order wrong and the parents' asian cheapness came out where they said we shoulda kept all the pizzas they made a mistake with and take it home 0.o But it gave me a guilty feelings so we held off and waited for them to remake it and hopefully make use of the pizza that was screwed over.
We were gonna go Pancakes for dessert but it was 10:30 already so we dropped by Gelatissimo and hung in the playground like the cool kids before heading home.
Genius day right? I'm pretty sure half my weekends are like that, it's the reason I never get anything done TT.
Oh yeah, the picture? It just amused me and made me think of sheep.
Ahem, introducing, Sheep.

But yes, sheep.

Ballads of Fallen Empires

Somedays I go to all the old places and sit there in the leftovers of what used to be grand empires of shopping and beautiful playgrounds which have fallen as I've grown up and pushed them to a dusty corner of my memory. Then I realize that no, these places haven't really been ruined, it's that I've grown up and changed. And the massive slide that seemed so bright and big and could reach all the way up to the sky? Yeah it was only shoulder height. And the store that was so brightly lit with high echoey ceilings and seemed to stretch on forever? Yeah it only really takes an hour or two to pick through all the interesting places in Myer which was then known as Grace Bros.
Oh and some places have simply been destroyed for development. Yeah I had to break the mood of nostalgia cause it got weird and acquired a 'talk about your feelings vibe' which doesn't work when I'm alone.
All by my onesie. With a laptop for company. And a nice cup of Chai tea which I have gotten obsessed with. But it won't be a big obsession. passing thing. Mind you my passing things will last a few weeks and least but ephemeral all the same.

Anyway, so for Australia Day I went to Birkenhead Point originally for my sister to acquire needed items and meet our baby cousins but yeah I got a wallet from Oroton and it's so white and pretty I wan't to eat it, after I've put it up on display so I can bathe in it's ethereal light :D

And I've also never shown my Holga that has recently been claimed by my reaching hands. And issert pretty or what it's like a nice pink purple blush plum thing and just gorgeous and reminds me of candy. And Danica was right it entices my miniature sized cousins way too much as they grasp with sticky fingers. Just cause it's plastic doesn't mean it's a toy.

And I'm just going to go now cause I've exhausted myself, you have no idea how exhausting my cousins are, it'a like running the cross country, especially when all four are below 10 and I have the mentality of one who is in her single digit ages.

Living isn't just breathing

So I haven't blogged in just over a fortnight and during that time I have been doing work.
Not really, more of opening up a few pages and yeah I'll just look at this first and I'll study as soon as I'm done...
I have however taken the time to do this in my process of starting to study. I hope you will enjoy this picture movie thing. It's intense. Manisay requested I post it up...

Once upon a time...

Hours later, after a healthy intake of...

Realization hits
Then the epic begins
And Ends.

But anyway, Manisay and I got on the train today on a quest based upon the viewing of the recently released picture, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. On the ride there Mani gave me an unexpected but welcome belated birthday present in the form of the 'In 5 minutes' book from Kikki.K. Cheer with me children, WHOOOOOO!!!!

Butonwards, we alighted at Town Hall station a proceeded to get sufficiently lost in Woolies at Town Hall, a mean feat for some people but not so shocking coming from the girl who got lost on George street and only George street. But finally our quest ended when we acquired film and a large packet of chips all in all riding approximately 6 sets of escalators. We then proceeded to Pepper Lunch and I cant remember what it's called nor do I have pictures yet, maybe Mani will but it was genius steak. Ignoring the part where my tummy told me I wasn't meant to eat meat, but screw it i've had vegetarian for a long time for CNY.

BTW someone has to tell me who that photographer was that took pictures like the cover for Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards.

So we watched the movie and Rachel McAdams was gorgeous and then she died and I wanted to cry. And before the movie there was this add and it was so corny and I wanted to cry and it got ruined when it turned out to be an add for lotto. And then Holmes almost died and I was like ':o ASDFGHKLHWEYBVJBY!!!!!!' and then he came back to life and it was all good. And I would write more but this is turning excessively long and I cbb and maybe I'll recount the past 2 weeks in my next post.. maybe. Or I could write about Harry Potter YAY!

And because I'm so happy but I got Danica into Mortal Instruments and we were hardcore fangirling and it was like having a panic attack except happy.

Day 8: What do you think would be your favourite lesson?

I really wouldn't know. There are so many that seem so wonderful and so many that I can find Muggle counterparts for which would help in understanding. I love the sound of potions, astronomy, charms and history of magic, but only if it weren't taught by Binns.
But I'd rather learn potions on my own instead of in a classroom with a teacher snarling at Gryffindors or simpering towards anyone skilled or famous.
There doesn't seem to be much of a profession towards charms and history of magic unless you teach it so I suppose I would love Charms the most especially if taught by Professor Flitwick. I mean how awesome is the little dwarf man?
