Day 9: Least Favourite Male Character

I really need to narrow down the choices.

I really don't know cause to me their all evil in their own right. 

Percy left his family, his family who loved him. I mean just cause he never really fit in with their rowdiness didn't mean he should choose a corrupt authority over a loving family. Well i suppose I only ever truly hated him cause he was such a stickler for rules and chose the ministry, which was in essence money over love and damnit in this fairytale, love is everything.

Voldemort. 

He always has to make an appearance on most hated lists cause darn he's Tom Marvolo Riddle (Jnr.) AKA Lord Voldemort. 

He's evil and he razes towns, kills small children, rapes women, tortures and kills men and what is there not to hate?  Oh and he kills his family. Other than that he has a vision and inspires loyalty like Dumbledore. He did have a crappy childhood but that's not really a reason to give others a crappy childhood. I still admire him though cause at least he had direction and an ideal no matter how badly he went round getting it. 

Cornelius Fudge, AKA most incompetent Minister of Magic in the history of the wizarding world. I mean really? there's a threat to safety, don't even bother sending out even a lowly clerk to check it out, just bury your head in the sand like a good ostrich and fluff your feather trying to look important whilst you're blind to the world you're trying to lead. Farrout, politicians are meant to lie and all but when they lie? they usually know the truth so as not to get caught up in their intricate little web of twisted truths. He probably helped Voldemort rise to power more than the deatheaters ever did. Stupid overgrown cow.

And now finally, we arrive at the ultimate betrayer. Peter Pettigrew. Snivelling spineless brat. For a talentless worm such as him, he had everything going for him and he gave it all away for power and for an inordinate amount of crucios and living as a rat for 13 years. And he still thinks he deserves mercy? If I were Harry I would've made his bones brittle accidentally tripped him down the stairs and left him there to bleed it out. Well after I shifted him out of the shrieking shack so as not to dirty the memories of  the true Marauders there.

Damnit, Sirius and James helped you achieve an animagus form and you use the darned form to betray them and hurt them for nothing, for a cruel master who then left you to die anyway despite your 'faithfulness' more like unforgiving fear.

Day 8: What do you think would be your favourite lesson?

I really wouldn't know. There are so many that seem so wonderful and so many that I can find Muggle counterparts for which would help in understanding. I love the sound of potions, astronomy, charms and history of magic, but only if it weren't taught by Binns.
But I'd rather learn potions on my own instead of in a classroom with a teacher snarling at Gryffindors or simpering towards anyone skilled or famous.
There doesn't seem to be much of a profession towards charms and history of magic unless you teach it so I suppose I would love Charms the most especially if taught by Professor Flitwick. I mean how awesome is the little dwarf man?

Day 7: Favourite female character and why.

I admire Professor Mcgonagall, Narcissa Malfoy and Lily Potter the most I suppose. Cause to me they were strong women who fought for their beliefs and Mcgonagall was the strict but fair and underneath it all you could see that she cared for her students. Similar to the other two who fought and sacrificed for their family and for love.


In a way Bellatrix Lestrange was also admireable despite her madness. Her continuous loyalty and determination to fight for her beliefs pushed her up the scale in my eyes.


Molly Weasley, she was another formiddable woman she's overbearing but I love her cause she has such a big heart and yet she settles for being a housewife despite her strengths demonstrated through her ability to despatch Bellatrix. 


Hermione Granger is also highly admirable, simply because of the amount of drive she has and ambition. She's also highly overbearing. A bit like a really ambitious Molly Weasley actually, hrrmmm.


Luna Lovegood is the ultimate favourite though she never angered me or riled me up. She was just there throughout, providing support, breaking tension and held true to her beliefs despite the ridicule she received from others.
 And who knows? Maybe nargles and wrackspurts really do exist and the rest of the wizarding world is too blind, prejudiced and disdainful to see them.

Day 6: What house would you want to be in?

Yeah I going to post properly but I have a headache and cbf. So HP it is.

House. I say, that's a difficult position to put me in.


Gryffindor is too abrasive I think, and they lack cynicism and sarcasm that I appear to have in abundance. I'd also hate to be one of the main house to incite duels and violence in the corridors.They also seem to die sooner and seem to lack a sense of self preservation.


Hufflepuff is too...actually there's not much on them but to me, they seem a bit wimpy and a bit slow in the head but too quick to jump to conclusions, or is that just Ernie Macmillan? They're pretty weak as well, what doe their house ghost say about them? A fat monk, that's the way to truly represent your house. But either way yellow isn't my colour thus why I hold a love/hate relationship with Macarthur.


Ravenclaw is admirable and I'd love Flitwick as my head of house and BOOKS! And blue! But the situation with Luna Lovegood is strange, she redeems her house yet what her house has done to her makes me hate them. Cho Chang and Marietta Edgecombe also add to the bad qualities of the house, they're both weak-willed and appear to lack intuition and common sense that most of us hold fundamentally dear.


Slytherin. What can be said about the house? They have a terrible rapport with the rest of the wizarding world but they have wit, ambition, sarcasm and they have the tendency to survive. They also hold loyalty to family in high regard and are in all aspects the most suitable house for me I believe. Except for the part where they scheme too far into the future and don't care who they tread on to get to the top.


Bugger all.

Day 5: Favourite Male Character and Why?

What a difficult question. In my opinion, male characters are always easier to love than female characters, but maybe that's cause I'm female either way, there's so many.


I liked the twins the most I guess, but don't ask me which cause it's quite difficult to differentiate. But I liked them cause they were good and they could be serious when the time called for but they were so co-dependent and close knit and they were so funny yet devious and held a certain je ne sais quoi. They reminded me of the Ouran twins who are like LOVE.


I also liked Neville cause he was so unassuming and nervous and gentle yet he could also rise to the situation and take a stand when there was a need and a cause to fight for. He stood up to the carrows, rescued other students from the carrows and he beheaded Nagini for merlin's sake and he stood there and took the cruciatus curse and the hat burning on his head. Then afterwards he could recede back into his nicer, quieter persona. What's not to like?


And Flitwick was awesome. He was like this little unassuming character and then BAM he was a duelling champ. and you'd go "0.o SAY WHAT?!" and he was so little. And so excitable and simply awesome. Well that was until i noticed the odd discrepancy in the movies. Did he take a de-aging potion? But doesn't matter he's still awesome like jackalopes.


I would say Harry, but he was too self sacrificing, Remus was too self pitying. Sirius, we never got to know him but i think I would've loved him otherwise. James Potter likewise. Ron was too volatile. Snape had no reason to be such a bastard, abuse is a vicious cycle. Malfoy was too cowardly and self serving.

Day 4: Least Favourite Female Character and Why?

I'm a highly cynical person but I really wouldn't know, there ones that you hate but you still want them there cause they make the story then there's those that you just want to die.


I hated Umbridge but I understood she had to be there to add to the tension and become a turning point for Fred and George leaving. Similarly, I also disliked Trelawney, Merope Gaunt, and Amycus Carrow.


In the movies, I hated Ginny Weasley, no offence to Bonnie Wright but she just seemed so weak and frail and she was there for Chamber of Secrets and then she was gone and suddenly she was kissing Harry and it didn't look like they liked each other at all. But in the books she seemed so strong and independent.


I guess I hated Rita Skeeter the most out of them all. She was like her animagus, annoying, always around when you don't need her and gives you an itch to slap her, or if she's in her bug form you just want to spray her with insecticide and make her drown in it.

Day 3: Film Adaptations

OMFGSHASDFGHJKL!!! You have no bloody idea.
Foolish producers ruin everything. EVERYTHING!
I read the books and I was like WOW! Then I watched the movies and I wanted to break something cause they ruined my perceptions of so many things. 
They ruined The Burrow for me.
and I don't think we ever saw the gnomes.
and Ginny Weasley and Draco Malfoy and Sirius Black and Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks and James Potter and Lily Potter and so many other people weren't as I had thought at all.
James and Lily had no onscreen chemistry.
And werewolf Remus looked ridiculous.
I could never see the second actor for Dumbledore as anything other than Gandalf.
And the Chamber of Secrets had something off about it. Too ostentatious and un-dusty I suppose.
And he ran round the chamber and things didn't he? Not into random dead end pipes and throw stones.
It was smell you bastard, not hear him. Gaaargh.
And someone pointed out to me, where the hell did Sally Anne Perks disappear to?
And Sirius was in an office not in a random cell, and Hermione wasn't supposed to Bombarda the door. And they were meant to fly up onto the roof before Sirius took Buckbeak and left, not down into a courtyard.
The patronus was also meant to be a stag the whole time, not some massive white pulsing shield.
The marauder's map didn't live up to expectations either. Red dots people, not footsteps.
The portrayal of Beauxbatons amd Durmstrang was utterly overdone, polarising the genders. I mean really? Is Hogwarts the only co-ed normal school around? I'm sure Beauxbatons and Durmstrang also had male and female students respectively.
And when Dumbledore storms into the anteroom all huffy and puffy he was channeling Gandalf more than twinkly-eyed Dumbledore.By the way, they never twinkled in the movies.
And we never saw Rita Skeeter in a jar.
Order of the Phoenix was okay I guess.
Mrs Figg reminded me of wilted flowers. The Wizengamot was weird looking the people were, they were never portrayed right. Umbridge didn't look like a toad at all.
Cho Chang's accent was really weird. The kiss was even worse it that shitty lighting all washed out and stuff.
Ginny Weasley and Neville Longbottom begin to make an appearance which is kinda bad.
The young James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Lily Evans and Snape were terrible, didn't match up to description at all. And they purposefully made Snape look more pitiful. And damnit this is to James as well as Harry, windblown, messed up birds nest hair? In the movie it's sleek and dark brown and Harry's eyes are blue, that's slightly forgiveable I guess, could green it up a little. But Lily's are brown and I'm just so damned sad. None of them are piercingly green eyes. They're not piercing at all.
Ginny never grew up at all and suddenly she was there and Harry was in love and are you kidding me? You expect people to believe that? Even Cho and Harry had more chemistry.
Sectumsempra was terribly portrayed.
Harry was meant to watch, petrified in a corner covered by his invisibility cloak, not underneath free to clench his teeth and do jack shit.


All of that above? Was simply ranting. The real issue is the Deathly Hallows. Both parts.
No matter how much I love the series, I'm quite sure Gringotts was a white marble building, not a glass dome.
Harry also didn't have to cradle Dobby and press his forehead against his like a lover.
There was just so much that didn't match up and the epilogue? I don't want to talk about it. It physically hurts me to do so.

Day 2: Your Favourite Movie.

In my most humble opinion, it would be Philosopher's stone. Simply because they were so bloody adorable, it was the truest to the book and because was the closest to how I envisioned it.

It's a bit sad that as it gets more complicated and darker, my imagination and the director/producer persons imagination don't seem to correlate and it upsets me.




Onto blogging, so today whilst they were questioning my psych and what made me panicky, I had a light bulb go off in my head which then manifested itself into an idea for art that I may or may not like.
It's based upon what causes anxiety and fears and phobias out there. I was thinking, little padded box with pictures of people and their fears. My imagination is better than my descriptive skills.

I'm also fleshing out my english ext 2 story, I'll need muses and lots of info TT
And I try not to rant too often but it is tres annoying. Bloody Wratten, Ruse can have her back, the trial period is over, she's unsuited. Making us all go online you bitch with the 'new' policy. Who do you think you are? It's like saying, " Oh hey so we don't want you or anyone else to do modern history so we're going to force you to do ancient history despite the fact that you like and do better in modern, you have to bow down to our whims because we are the almighty ruler of all. Just ruin our education why don't you, just give us all N awards now cause you're planning on failing us anyway you bitch. Is it cause we have more fun than your precious ruse with all the hardcore suicidal studious bastards? No offence to ruse kids, i just insult everything in association if i insult one thing. Apologies.

Day 1: Your Favourite Book.

It would probably most likely be Prisoner of Azkaban for many reasons.

It's a special cloth bound edition with gold edged pages, what's not to love? Excepting the price tag.

• He wasn't as naive and trusting as the earlier books it which his lack of intuition put me off.
• It wasn't as dark and morbid as the later ones.
• The only thing that questioning fans can question is about the incarceration of Sirius Black and why didn't he receive a trial. Otherwise they can't really hurt any other characters and say that aforementioned other character set Harry up to 'test' him.
• No one died.
• We finally get more specific information on James and Lily Potter.
• We met Sirius Black.
• There was a nice strong revenge theme running throughout, which always satisfies my sometimes somewhat darker side.
• And in the movie, Hermione still had bushy hair and Harry and Ron didn't have weird overly long tresses.
• I don't like rats overall, so it was nice that I now have a reason for the dislike.
